Steve passed away quietly on November 5, 2021 in Delta at the age of 63, after a short battle with cancer.  He was predeceased by his wife Mary-Ann, his father Fred and sister Eva.  He is survived by his children Josh (Patricia) and Jessica and 7 grandchildren. Also, by his mother Katie and his sisters Debbie (Adele), Anita (Adam), Roberta and his brother Ron (Terri) and several nieces and nephews.
Steve was born in Vancouver but grew up in North Delta, where he went to school at Annieville, Delview and North Delta.  Growing up he played lacrosse, hockey and was part of DeMolay, where he met many of his life-long friends.
Throughout his life Steve worked many occupations, he started by washing semi-trucks for his uncle as a young teenager. From there worked melting down metals, in a sawmill, and making wood burning stoves.  He found his true passion and enjoyment working on heavy machinery, his favourite was the excavator but also backhoes, bobcats and drove dump trucks.
The outdoors was where Steve enjoyed spending his time.  It began when he was young camping and fishing with the family.  He tried many of different outside activities including parasailing, hunting, fly fishing or sailing the inside passage off Vancouver Island. But his greatest joy of all was riding his Harley Davidson.  Whether it was just a day trip around the Okanagan or week-long trips with his friends and fellow motorcycle enthusiasts.
Steve was a kind man, a family man and a good friend.  He will be missed by all.

There will be a small celebration of life for family and friends in May 2022.
