Participating in the final farewell to a deceased family member or friend is a final act of love. These days, our death-denying society wants to dispose of a body quickly, so as not to face the reality of mortality. Funeral homes are too often participants in creating an atmosphere of denial when it comes to death. Thus, family and friends miss a significant opportunity to fully participate in the final good-bye to their loved one. This care is vitally important, not only in offering proper love and respect to the deceased, but also in bringing healing to those who grieve.  We strive to offer such healing care.

Ancient Burials' sensitive care towards the deceased and their families comes from our own experience. Zane and Julia have lost family members and friends, too.  We know that there is healing power in properly caring for someone who has died. We encourage families of loved ones to participate as much as they are comfortable.  Such personalized care may seem innovative, but it's actually part of an old way of doing things. It originates from the days before funeral homes became part of the profit-focused funeral industry.

We Make House Calls

House calls are an old-fashioned approach to helping families. Whether it's after a death that has just occurred or for the purposes of planning years in advance, we'll meet with you where it's most comfortable for you.  That might mean gathering in your home around your family table-- or meeting at a coffee shop, church, or an office. You are, of course, welcome to meet in our office, if that suits you best.

Because of the way we prepare a body for burial, our standard burial is considered a natural burial. It's truly a "green" burial when an ecologically-friendly casket and vault is used.  We can help you arrange a burial that is as environmentally friendly as possible.

The prices we publish are as all-inclusive as possible.  Simply select the type of service you want, then select the casket you would like and any third-party disbursements you may require. Our goal is to save you effort, time and money.
