Hospital Death...The hospital will typically retain your loved one for at least 24 - 48 hours. When the time is right, please call 604-308-2822 to inform us of the death. During that call we can schedule an appointment for a house call, office or electronic meeting. After that meeting has taken place, your loved one will be transferred into our care.
Expected Death in the Home, Care Home, or Hospice...The most important thing to remember is to give yourself time. There is no immediate need to have the person transferred into our care. When the time is right, please call 604-308-2822 to inform us of the death. Under normal traffic conditions our staff will arrive at your location within 1.5 - 2 hours. We will take care of the immediate need of transferring your loved one into our care without the necessity of doing paperwork or payment being required ahead of time. We will follow up the next day to set an appointment for a house call, office or electronic meeting.
Coroner Attended Death...Depending on the situation, the coroner may retain the body and transfer it to a local hospital or funeral home morgue for further investigation and possible toxicology or autopsy. In some instances, however, the body may be released from the location of death and can be transferred directly to our facility. In either situation please call 604-308-2822 to inform us of the death. These situations can be difficult and we want to be able to help you as soon as possible.
