Our standard process is that we provide natural body preparation for the people we look after. By default we look after the care of the person's body via external care through bathing, looking after the hygienic needs of the person and then complete with dressing and appropriate cosmetics. Each person's care can be customized to their needs via inclusion of using rose water, essential oils or perfumes as well as inclusion of cultural or religious customs. This is our default process, however if the situation dictates or the family requests we can provide embalming and there is no additional fee.

We have a wide selection of caskets that meet various religious requirements. Some of these include our Jewish Eco casket, Pieta themed Catholic casket, Orthodox inspired coffin, First Nations Pendleton blanket with paddle handles, or our Christian Homeward Bound. We also have a selection of guest books, crosses and urns.

The last main component of fulfilling many religious funerals is internment of the body in a sacred space. As a licensed Funeral Provider, we have the ability to perform a burial in any cemetery in BC. We have compiled a list of cemeteries or sections within cemeteries, that have been dedicated to specific religious communities.

The Schara Tzedeck Cemetery Board is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Jewish Community by pro‍‍‍viding thoughtful compassionate funeral and burial services since 1929. ‍‍They operate three cemeteries, one in New Westminster, one in South Surrey and the Jewish section at Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver. They also provide Chevra Kadisha and funeral services to members of the Congregation Beth Israel, Temple Sholom, Har-El, and Or Shalom.

The administration office at Gardens of Gethsemani looks after the arrangements for their location and St. Peter's Parish. They are an extension of parishes in the Archdiocese of Vancouver; a place for prayer, reflection, hope and remembrance. As a part of a Church family and a community of believers, Catholic Cemeteries exist to care for the family to help them live on.

The B.C. Muslim Association provides facilities for Ghusl at the Richmond Jamea Masjid, Surrey Jamea Masjid and Burnaby Masjid ul Salaam. There is a volunteer BCMA Men and Women Ghusl Committee who will assist the family in performing the ghusl under the supervision of a licensed funeral director.

First Nations Cemeteries- Across BC
Most First Nation Communities around BC have access to their own cemetery. These are self governed and self managed. As a generalization most of them have been blessed by the local religious community.

Even if you don't choose one of the above cemeteries your religious traditions can still be accommodated. Speak with the cemetery staff to share your requests and make arrangements for your clergy to come perform the necessary rites.
