She left us on July 16, 2016, after entering her 98th year.
Born June 5, 1919 in Drummond, New Brunswick to Jean and Lucie Cote, Sylvaine learned quickly that hard work was always going to be part of her life. She really was a hard worker, not retiring until age 68 as a manager of food service at B.C. Packers. In relatively good health for the majority of her life, the last few years were a struggle.
Predeceased by her loving husband Claude. Her children, Dee, Cec, Frances and Greg know that she has gone to a peaceful place of joy and relaxation, in the care of the Lord.
Visitation to be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish located at 4452 Williams Rd, Richmond, Wednesday July 20, 4pm, followed by a prayer vigil starting at 7pm.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, July 21 at 11am also at St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Rev. Fr. David Poirier will be officiating.
Sylvaine will then be laid to rest at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery at 1:30pm
