April 27, 1959 - December 1, 2017 Wayne was a skilledcarpenter and boat builder. He wasvery passionate about Archaeology, and worked for UBC Museum of Anthropology and for the Musqueam Bandbringing important insights to his historyandhis community. He mademultiple significant finds and changedpublic perception of his peoples’ heritage.He was an avid hunter and enjoyed passing on his knowledge to those around him, training many a young hunter. He always maintained a great sense of humour, one ofthe traits for which he wasknown. Wayne loved his family and always enjoyed meeting up with relations when he was traveling. He was proud of his grandkids and spent a great deal of time passingon as much knowledge as he could to them. Survived by: Wife: Margaret Rose Point Children: Tina, Clifford, Carl and Archie Grand Children:William Dennis, Nathan Dennis, Nikki Dennis, Clinton Dennis,Tryon Dennis, Carrie Sparrow-Dennis, Wee-ya Sparrow, Shaun Dennis, Ciara Dennis, Amber Dennis & great grandchild Andre Dennis Siblings: Jesse Point, Aaron Point, Stewart Point (Linda) Nephews and Nieces: Joshua Williams and Linae Marie Point And by many relatives, friends, coworkers from UBC Museum of Anthropology and various of other departments.

Evening prayers to be on December 6, 2017 at 7pm with the funeral mass held at 10am on December 7. Both will occur atthe Musqueam Community Center, 6777 Salish Drive, Vancouver (Musqueam Reserve), afterwards Wayne will be laid to rest in the Musqueam cemetery.
