February 8, 1944 - January 22, 2026 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe (Joe) Pucci. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Joe was born on February 8, 1944, on the family farm in the town of Aiello Calabro, in the province of Cosenza, Italy. In 1966, he met and married his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Teresa, in their hometown. Together, they built their life there, but they dreamed of more for their future. With Joe’s sister Mafalda and brother Carmine already living in Canada, Joe and Teresa made the courageous decision to immigrate in 1973. They settled in Burnaby, where they raised their family and built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion. Joe was a loving father, and despite facing multiple illnesses and mobility challenges, he remained a constant presence for his children. In his later years, his unconditional love was most evident in the bond he shared with his grandchildren—he truly lived for them. Joe is survived by his wife Teresa; daughter Luisa (Rémi); son Raffaele (Maria); grandchildren Luca, Adriano, Enzo, Sebastiano, and Ayva; his sister Mafalda (Gino: deceased); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Joe was predeceased by his father Raffaele, mother Luisa Maria, and brother Carmine (Erika).
