March 14, 1951 – May 6, 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Kunjukunjamma Cherian on May 6, 2025 at the age of 74. Kunjukunjamma was the beloved wife of Baby Daniel, devoted mother to Manju and Alex, and cherished grandmother to Mekha, Yohan, Abel, and Rosemary. Born in Tamilnadu, India, she lived a life marked by deep faith, quiet strength, and boundless love. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, raising generations with wisdom, patience, and grace. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and delicious home-cooked meals brought comfort and joy to every gathering, making each moment feel like home. For 30 years, Kunjukunjamma dedicated her life to public service as a Superintendent in the Kerala Judicial Department, embodying integrity, diligence, and a strong sense of duty in all that she did. Her commitment to justice and her work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and all who had the privilege of working with her. Kunjukunjamma was known for her steadfast prayer life, her selfless care for others, and her ability to find joy in life’s simple blessings. Even during illness and hardship, her faith in God never wavered. She was a woman of quiet courage who faced her battles with dignity and trust in the Lord. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the lives she so deeply touched — especially her children and grandchildren, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 9:30 am - 1:00 pm at St. George Malankara Orthodox Church, 15151 72 Avenue, Surrey, BC.
