Helen Buchholz
Helen Elizabeth Buchholz (nee Diprose) 1947-2025
was born November 22, 1947 in Hanna Alberta. Helen was called to her heavenly home on November 19th surrounded by her loving husband of 54 years, her children, and dear friends.
Helen (Mom, Grammie) will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of almost 54 years, Ken Buchholz of Langley BC, children Charity of Blountville TN, USA, Jonathan (Karissa) of Charlestown Indiana USA and Aaron (Lindsey) of Springhill TN USA, and 9 grandchildren; Kayla, Charish, Christian, Lilah, Luke, Avaley, Titus, Nora, Tobias, and her brothers Bill and Tom.
She is survived by 2 brothers, Bill (Lorna) of Calgary Alberta, Tom(Louise) of Drumheller Alberta,
She was predeceased by her father William, mother Blanche,  1 sister Louise, 1 brother Jim and her grandson Toby.
Helen was a prairie girl, born and raised on a farm in Alberta, she went to Nursing school at the age of 17 and graduated as an RN. She worked as an RN in Calgary, Enderby, Vernon and Kamloops. It was in Vernon BC where she met the love of her life, Ken, while working at the local tastee freeze. Helen shared her zest for life with Ken and they married in December of 1971. After working 4 years as an RN she transitioned to a career as a full time, wife, homemaker, mother and then grandmother (Grammie); she served her family faithfully in this capacity for 54 years.
Helen loved the out doors, her roses, drives in the car and visits with her children and grandchildren. She loved crocheting, working on puzzles, playing crokinole and archery.
In 1971 Helen was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and she unwaveringly served God until her last breath. She prayed faithfully for her family, always had a positive word of encouragement, and always put others concerns over her own. She loved to attend church, worship and listen to sermons. She faithfully claimed her healing and peacefully passed on to her reward in heaven.
She is loved, cherished, will be missed, but not forgotten. She is waiting to be reunited with her family in heaven.
Memorial service is Wednesday November 26 at Living Word Fellowship Church, 2623 272 St Aldergrove, BC.

What a beautiful example of a Christian lady. Always had a smile and a God Bless You whenever I saw her. She truly loved her family and most of all her Lord Jesus Christ. She will be missed yet I am so happy to know she is enjoying her eternal reward. Well done, good and faithful servant. Bro. & Sis. Hoover.

We met Ken & Helen when they made Aldergrove their home. We became good friends sharing similiar interests and with children close in age, we spent many many precious hours visiting together.
For me….( Patricia) , Helen was my best and closest friend I ever had. I knew I could share my heart and she would carefully guard it and pray with and for me. Her home was always open for us and all I can say is although I thank God I will see her again, I will miss her until that great day.
I truly pray that for everyone who loves Helen will find comfort in the abundance of good memories we have and in the knowledge that Jesus Christ is the resurrection and Life and he promised eternal life beyond the grave. We will one day be together with our Lord and Saviour. The hope beyond the grave. Until then my dear sis Helen bask in the presence of Jesus and we will meet you in the morning some day. ✝️

The Buchholz family was a second home to me growing up into my teenage years, and Sis Helen was so accommodating in every aspect. She made us feel like part of the family and never heard her upset or complain with us crazy kids. Fond memories of bringing bottles to the corner store to buy penny candies, summer buzz cuts and jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler, hours of fun in the fort and sand box, helping with animal chores, dirt bike riding in the back field and endless hours of hockey and basketball in the driveway. Sorry for all the dents in the siding and garage door Bro Ken....😬🙃

So from my heart, she effected me and my family deeply that has lasted the test of time. Her kindness and person she was has left a permanent mark and as we've grown older, it's meant more today than ever. So appreciate that we had this connection and we look forward to another time when we can reminisce of these times, when time is no more.

We continue to keep Bro Ken and his family in our prayers and hearts. May the Dove come down and blanket them with comfort and peace when their hearts are broken and hurting. We pray the mercies and grace of our Lord be ever present and help them in the days ahead. Until Sis Helen, until....🙏🏻
