As our hearts break, it is with unbearable sorrow and unmeasurable pain that our family must announce the tragic and sudden passing of our Son and Brother, Sheldon Aubée of Maple Ridge, BC, on December 17, 2024, in Clearwater, BC, affectionately known as Shelly by his friends. Sheldon is survived by his Mom Deanne Aubée and Dad Fallon Aubée; Brothers Colton (Shella) Aubée and Brandon (Ariana) Aubée; Uncles Todd Whiteley, Shane Whiteley, Lance Whiteley and Colin Aubée; Aunts Ellyse (David) Samchinsky and Rita Garrett, as well as numerous Cousins and an enormous group of friends.
If you were lucky enough to have crossed paths with Smurf, a true friend for life he was…. He would never forget you!
Predeceased by his Brother Dylan Peter Joseph Aubée; Brother Curtis Richard Aubée; Sister Amanda Lee Aubée; Gramma Whiteley (Donna) and Gramma and Grandpa Aubée (Theresa and Roger); his best friend Echo Border; Aunt Annette Aubée and Uncle Tym Whiteley.
Sheldon was a young man who loved the great outdoors. In fact, he often preferred to be in nature and enjoyed sleeping under the stars. Sheldon was a smart and generous man with many talents. He strived to learn and be a better person throughout his short life. Overall, it is his kindness and personality that speaks the loudest about who Sheldon truly was. As a young boy Sheldon was introduced to elements of his Indigenous Culture, which he embraced and was proud of.
He will be forever remembered and will live on in all of our hearts and memories.
The Funeral Service will be held on January 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Como Lake United Church, 535 Marmont Street, Coquitlam, BC. Reception to follow at 7:00pm at De Dutch, 200-2748 Lougheed Highway, Port Coquitlam, BC.

My dear son, there are no words that can describe how much I love you and how much I will miss you every day. Your kindness and incredible personality is the signature you leave with all those who love you. Your memory will reside in all of us forever.
Rest in Peace my Son, may your Eagle Spirit Soar above us for eternity. May every sunrise and sunset be as bright as your presence is in all of our hearts.
Love Dad

Shelly belly… I still can’t believe that this is all real… I still find myself going to text you and realizing the reality of things… 😞

Lately I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about our days in culinary arts class, ridding the bus & LRT from Vic Comp or Shep to class, laughing and sharing stories every time we made the trip there and back. I still sit and smile/laugh when I think about all of the antics that occurred. Boy did Chef Murray have his hands full with us… remember the “fish-cedent” (fish incident) or the walk in freezer debacle? Or the time you texted me 54 times in a row and froze my cellphone? Those were the days I tell ya. 🤣

But most importantly I’ve been thinking about our friendship and the bond that we created during those years. The texts, the shoulder to cry on, the surprise visits, the dinners at my parent’s house. These are memories I will forever cherish and hold close to my heart 💖

I miss you, I miss our talks, I miss your jokes that could put a smile on my face no matter what. I know that though you are no longer earth side you are still watching over protecting & shining your big beam of light on your family & friends ❤️

Rest in paradise Sheldon, I hope heaven has all the delicious food and whiskey you could want. I hope you and Echo are together running the fields & exploring the stars ✨ I hope you know how loved & deeply missed you are, and I hope that one day I will get to see you again my dear friend, but until then I’ll see you in the sunsets, stars, and skies ❤️
