#1 Compassionate care over profits
At Ancient Burials, we want you to experience a quality of care that is second to none, while at the same time ensuring that your costs are lower than you would be paying elsewhere. We believe we can offer both compassionate care and cost savings as an independent funeral service.
Our prices are fair, reasonable and generally lower than other area funeral homes; especially lower than the corporate ones. Profits shouldn't be a funeral home's priority at your time of loss. Again, we are not driven by sales targets or dividends to shareholders, but by the desire to provide you and your family with the care you need.
#2 Personalized service
As an small, efficient funeral service, we have the ability to offer more personalized services and to do so more efficiently. As an independent service, we aren't governed by profit motives and pressures of corproately-owned funeral services. We can thus focus our resources on your needs and often in a more personalized and more timely manner.
One way we do this is by not asking you to come to a business location. We are willing and able to travel to your home and visit with you around your family table, or wherever you are most comfortable. (We often meet with families at local coffee shops, libraries, and churches.) After making a plan and accepting payment, we are able to carry out your wishes. This is more desirable for many people than meeting in a business environment, surrounded by product displays.
Every family's needs are different. As an independent company, we're able to offer more personalized services than a corporately-owned funeral home may be willing or able to provide. This can include one-of-a-kind services and assisting with unique home vigils and wakes. We understand that families often want to be involved with dressing and casketing their loved one, and we are pleased to accomodate. We even offer do-it-yourself burials. Can you find such adaptablity in a corporately-owned funeral home? You may find that a challenge, especially if it means reduced profits for them. Rather than discouraging DIY-options, we welcome and even encourage them.
#4 No pressure, ever
We understand that whether a family is pre-planning a funeral that may take place in the distant future, or is in the midst of grieving a recently-deceased family member, any type of pressure is completely out of place. In the corporate world, pressure put on employees to increase sales often transfers onto the buyer. We don't look at the families we serve as "buyers," but we do understand that there are purchasing decisions which must be made. When we help you choose a casket, for example, we start with the least expensive options and let you know what other choices are available to you. Corporate-style pressure has no place in our independent, family owned service.
#5 Fast 24/7 response
We understand that losing someone you love sometimes happens when you least expect it. We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Corporately-run funeral homes may also offer this service, but there can be delays that are inevitable with corporation-managed services. At Ancient Burials, we understand that all calls need to be responded to quickly and with the care that you and your family require in those first critical moments when you're not sure what to do. That includes in the middle-of-the-night calls.
We are a family, in a very real sense, and not just a corporate fraternity. We don't need seminars and handbooks to remind ourselves that traditional values like respect, trust, honesty, kindness and integrity are the mainstays of not only our services, but also our family life. These fundamental values are ingrained in us, as our family serving yours, and we practice them consistently.
